Kernow Fires at Porthleven Food Festival

We're heading to Porthleven Food Festival this year, with the Gozney Pizza Oven.

Our pizza oven will be in very capable hands. Chef Steve Knowles — who has headed up the kitchen at Verdant Brewing Co's Taproom in Penryn for the past three years — will be taking to the stage for a chef demonstration at 4pm on Friday. If you haven't eaten at Verdant's Taproom, Steve and his team of pizzaiolos have been quietly redefining what pizza can be: the finest Italian ingredients, the freshest locally sourced and made produce, and an unrelenting daily pursuit of dough perfection. Run of the mill it most certainly isn't.

Nestled inside the brewery itself, Steve cooks in the spirit of the place — matching the brewers' passion and creativity with food that pushes back against convention. His demo promises to be a rare and genuinely fascinating look into the world of pizza: the craft, the creativity, and the sheer breadth of what's possible when someone truly obsessive gets behind the oven.

It's not often you see pizza taken this seriously on a festival stage. We think it's going to be something special.

Want to see the Gozney in action closer to home?

Better still, we'll have some exceptional deals on the range available exclusively on the day. A great chance to see one up close and take one home at a price you won't find elsewhere.
