Kernow Fires Meet our teams of Engineers

Our teams of installers are highly qualified and well trained, each put together to ensure a good combination of skills with personalities that complement each other, creating teams which you enjoy having in your home. All our installers are conscientious and friendly, taking pride in the finished product.  Each project is planned in advance by our installation manager, Torben or Simon, ensuring that every detail is thought through and relayed to each team before commencing work.  Our installations are all HETAS registered and meet building regulations as well as looking great.  The Kernow Fires team, from your first visit through installation and beyond, will do their best to ensure you are happy with your fire and our service, just check out our reviews online to see how important this is to us.

  • Torben Joined the team at the end of 2018 and has quickly made an impact on the business. Coming from a design background he has quickly picked up on the Kernow Fires style and is happy to help clients design feature walls as well as simple fireplaces.

  • Rob is a qualified HETAS engineer and team leader. His background in painting and decorating helps to get the showrooms looking up to scratch each season and his eye for detail is appreciated by our customers. If your looking for a good surf break he's the man to ask.

  • Lee is a very experienced builder and a very happy person to have around. Always a funny story to tell, Lee undertakes a lot of the specialised building work required for larger jobs as well as being a HETAS engineer.

  • Very softly spoken Dan joined the team in 2018 and is quietly working towards his HETAS qualification.

  • Harold has been with the Kernow Fires team for a couple of years and is a fully qualified HETAS engineer. As well as his previous experience as a HETAS engineer he is also skilled engineer and electrician. His skills have taken him around the world to various jobs including working on a flotilla of yachts, being a heating engineer and even driving over land tours in Africa.

  • Ricky has a background in engineering and farming. Super practical, he is a handy man to have around, especially for the staff as his hobbies include car repairs - although I'm not sure we will let him drive our cars as he also likes banger racing!

  • Rob is the newest member of our team and joined us in 2019. Since then he has become and integral part of the group and, although he's had a few months off on furlough he is happy to be back and installing again!
