We had Kevin and Brad come to install our Island 2 log burner. They were friendly and careful to protect our furniture and tv plus laid dust sheets throughout the hallway. Despite their warning, I only tripped once!
They paid close attention to detail and listened to my early misgivings about the chimney cowl being too shiny, it actually looks fine :-)
We've now used it twice and it's been easy to control and comforting on cold and wet days.
We are really pleased with Kernow Fires who are reliable and know their products. We are now going to go next door and get the ironworks to build us a fender!

Afternoon Bex, if this comes through it's due to your teaching. Emissions from the new burner itself were negligible, window and sliding doors open, the room was clear in 45 minutes. No sign, or smell, of woodsmoke in the room and no leakage from the stack joints, excellent draw. The heat output is outstanding.

Absolutely love our Clear View Pioneer. We've had it since February and are really enjoying it this winter. We found Kernow Fires really friendly and approachable when we first visited the show room at Wadebridge. Ours was a fairly big job, taking out an old outdated gas fire and back boiler, opening up the fire place and bringing it all up to date. Lee and Ricky were a pleasure to have working in the house, they were fun to have around, cheery and great with our dog, cat and two young boys who all had to keep checking on progress! Such brilliant staff! We chose our stove and hearth around February, have been back to Wadebridge a couple of times to confirm our choices, and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. We had the flue fitted whilst the roof was being renewed in April and the guys worked around roofers, builders and our electrician.

Finally we were ready to have it fitted and again Kernow Fires excelled themselves. Our fitter (Mark) and his trainee cut the hearth on site exactly as we wanted it, discussed with us the depth of the up stand and the exact sitting of our Vlaze panel.

The result is amazing. Everything perfectly fitted and two very satisfied customers. What a great team - thank you guys!!!!

We've used Kernow Fires regularly over the last 8 years for various projects and have always found them supremely helpful, knowledgeable and creative. They have the technical know how to make sure everything works, but the design flair to come up with new ideas too. We'd thoroughly recommend them!

Here’s what I learnt:

1.Quality is key (for certain things) – Obviously it depends on your budget and your intentions for the house (i.e is it to do up and sell, or are you planning to make it your longer-term home) but one thing I would recommend is that for certain things, quality is going to be key. We made the mistake of buying a second-hand wood burner, without doing our research. It turned out to be a completed waste of time and money trying to get it to work. In the end I spent hours doing research and we ended up purchasing a Clearview stove. The lovely team at Kernow Fires supplied us with a Clearview Pioneer 400 and it’s absolutely perfect.  My advice, do your research, pay for quality.

We had a wood burning stove installed in the autumn last year. It’s integrated into the wall of our sitting room so a new wall had to be built to house it. It was difficult to picture how they were going to make this work so we just had to trust them that it would work.

From the conception to the completed job, Kernow Fires were absolutely outstanding. Highly competent, very professional and the guys who built it and fitted it were perfectionists. Not a scrap of mess. Not a nick, bump or or imperfection was allowed. They were polite, friendly and helpful and gave great advice.

I wondered if the expense was going to be worth it but the end result is fabulous and has transformed the whole room and, more importantly, we now have a wonderfully warm room too.

They had to put a new chimney pot on the roof and while up there, repaired our weathervane. We live right on the coast of the Atlantic with 80mph winds in the winter, so this was no mean feat.

So if you’re planning to get a fire installed in your home and are not sure which company to use, I recommend this one.  ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

We are absolutely delighted with the wood burner. We tested it out last weekend and it really makes the house so cosy.

Shiela Piasecki‎ had a Clearview Pioneer in brown fitted in her living room.  Graham our surveyor suggested the slates around the outside to protect the wallpaper from the heat of the fire.

In the summer of this year I attended your Open Day and was impressed with the Clearview Pioneer fire and it's controllability in the showroom.  I informed the sales staff if he could guarantee that if I purchased one mine too would burn 'like that', I was assured it would.

My conclusion to date:- As the weather has been so mild I have only just started using it and can confirm that it burns with precise controllability as stated and that I am impressed with it's heat output and quality of the professional installers and the nice little touches of the 'starter pack' logs, gloves, firelighters etc.

After viewing a fire you had installed at a neighbours property and following visits to both your sites at Wadebridge and Redruth, my wife and I decided to go ahead with choosing Kernow Fires to install a wood burner, this decision being reinforced by comments left on your Website, Facebook and Twitter.

Graham visited our property and subsequently discussed various options including the most appropriate size and style of wood burner, how the installation would be carried out and how long  installation may take.  Graham was able to convince us that we had not only chosen the correct wood burner, but more importantly the correct company to carry out the supply and installation.

I’ve had a Clearview stove for about 18 years in my previous home, so that was an easy decision to make; a harder one was where to get it from. I shouldn’t have worried, for as soon as I spoke to Evan in the Redruth showroom I was convinced that they knew what they were doing. Our order was placed. Since I had to rebuild my chimney I discovered that changes to the install would be needed, and Bex was always at the top of her game to sort out the changes required. The fire is FAB, and works really well. Jack and his colleagues were really pleasant and the installation was completed with the minimum of disruption.

Kernow fires installed two stoves in our previous house. We didn't hesitate in contacting them again when we decided we wanted two in our new home. They have just fitted the first fire, a beautiful Rais stove, which looks lovely. Took us a while to decide on which stove to have but received really helpful advice from Simon and his staff and Ross were particularly helpful. When our roof was opened up, during installation Harold and Rob found that the trusses were in the wrong place. Despite this both worked to overcome the problem and we are delighted with the finished job. The second fire is due to be fitted in August.

Rob and Ian fitted our HotPod this week, we've been excitedly waiting for the house to be ready to get it installed. They talked through the various fitting options, flu colours, positioning etc in a very clear manner and set to work. Great attention to detail and, as it was our first woodburner, all safety and operation information was gone through. Prior to first burn, the polished everything and even re sprayed parts of the stove that had been marked with the stove cement. Couldn't fault them and couldn't recommend highly enough! Our Contura 810 was fitted on 18 January by Rob and Ian. The fire has made an enormous difference to our comfort during the winter and continues to do so. It also looks fantastic. We were shown how to prepare the fire and light it, and have experienced no problems whatsoever. Rob and Ian who installed the fire left everything very neat and tidy. We also took up the special offer of the logs, which combined with the supplied kindling and flamers, burn very easily and cleanly. Very happy with everything from the start, dealing with Rebecca in the Pool showroom, to the end with us keeping warm in such an aesthetically pleasing way.

After deciding to explore the option of having a log burner installed we went to the showroom in Wadebridge where we found the staff incredibly helpful and knowledgeable and we were made very welcome.
A site visit was made and Ross went through everything with us.
We then placed our order and got very excited when the install date was upon us - Kevin and Ian turned up on time and were both very nice friendly clean polite and professional, they explained what they were going to do and we left them too it.
Everything was sheeted down and covered very well and great care was taken and over the course of three days they worked to get the building works done and then on the fourth day the Hwam 2610 was installed and commissioned and Kevin's work was complete.
Once the plaster work had dried the burner was lit and WOW !!!!
We are two very satisfied and happy people.
We went back into the showroom and settled our invoice and praised the installers for their work.
We found the office staff once again to be very helpful and courteous.

We would highly recommend Kernow fires for their professional and complete service and now after several evenings of using the burner realise we have been robbed with our own previous open fire - burning countless logs and not getting heat into the room - This log burner is so efficient and burns minimal logs BUT throws out so much heat - BLISS !!

The quality of the workmanship was second to none as our job was quite a large undertaking with four fires to be fitted and four chimney-stacks to be lined. From our initial contact with your office it was immediately clear that we were dealing with a professional and caring company. Your quotation was both competitive and compelling. Don, the surveyor who visited us, spent several hours inspecting chimneys, measuring rooms and showing us a selection of fires that he advised would be fit and efficient for purpose. Nothing was too much trouble and indeed Don duly arrived on the first day, along with the fitters and the fires to make sure that all he had promised was to be delivered.

We ordered a wood burner and were told the lead time would be 6 weeks, we were keen to have our stove installation ASAP and Claire said that they would bring this forward if they possibly could. Sure enough the week after a space had become available and Claire send the team to our install our clearview stove. We had Brad and Lee fit a new liner for our chimney. Cannot fault them. They were careful in covering all our furniture, carpet and hallway with their covers. They were meticulous in cleaning up as they went. They explained what they were doing all the time. Probably the worst moment was when they had taken the old liner out and then released the vermiculite! But again they cleared it up for reuse later. The new liner went in relatively easily and connected up to the stove. All this during some of the worst weather BUDE had seen for some time.
So glad we chose Kernow Fires for this job. Would recommend them to anyone.

I would certainly recommend Kernow Fires. We had our old Clear View Wood Burner upgraded as it was feeling a bit sorry for itself. Great service good communication you could not fault their service- in total I had 5 guys attend to the burner from taking it out fitting a new liner drilling through for ventilation which wasn’t easy as we live in an old farmhouse but nothing was too much trouble. I now have a fabulous refurbished burner just like new - one very happy customer and will certainly recommend your company.

They did a covid-safe survey, and followed up quickly with a quote. We had very specific requirements and they worked with our builder and us to ensure they met the brief. Installation was on the date agreed - no delays. The guys who did the instal were friendly and professional. They left the site spotless, and gave me detailed instructions on how to use the new stove. The stove looks fabulous. Our builders are also really impressed. From the initial request for somebody to examine a fire installed by the houses previous owner to the installation by your engineers, I have been advised, reassured, guided, and been given the impression of competence.  It has been a very enjoyable and knowledgeable journey to the ending of your fire installation by two very friendly and competent engineers, who were very helpful indeed, and have done a superb job.  You certainly were not the cheapest quote we had, but Don was so helpful in explaining what was needed I felt the extra expense was well worth it, this so far has been the case.  Thank you all for your help and agree with your final instruction, a good fire should be enjoyed with a glass or two of wine.

Please pass on our thanks to the guys who's installed our 2 log burners on Friday, they did a great job. Their approach to the work was first class, they kept us informed as to what was happening especially when the unexpected things cropped up and left the cottage spick and span when they left. The rendered blockwork chimney to our existing woodburner was in a poor state and required rebuilding and extending to comply with Building Regulations.
Lee and Ricky came to do the job, they were friendly, polite and very professional and although the job was not straightforward with difficult access Lee was excellent at having solutions to each problem as they arose.
Lead tray and soakers and fillets and other bits to improve the existing roof junctions.

They were clean and tidy workers over the 3 days, removed all waste and Ricky even had the hoover on the roof cleaning up!!! What a sight.

New Capping and nice bit of render to finish, completed chimney looks good.

The installation of a Invictor Tipee in Lanivet

We embarked upon buying a wood burning stove and visited several showrooms. Kernow fires was our third and last, they were incredibly helpful, informative, polite and professional. They gave us a wealth of information in the store to consider and were very balanced in their discussions about products, fitting etc. We left the showroom in Wadebridge so much more knowledgable about products and how best to move forward.
They arranged a home visit to undertake a survey and offer further advice. This was done in a very professional manner and led to us buying a stove and having it fitted.
I can only say that we are delighted with the fire and the excellent service we received. They were very timely in organising everything and our fire was fitted within weeks. The fitters were lovely and meticulous in their work paying great attention to detail and cleaned up after themselves!
After fitting we had a few follow up contacts that proved equally as positive. The price was competitive and the service second to none. If you are buying a wood burning stove Kernow Fires is a must!

Just had a new inset wood burner installed by Kernow Fires. What a lovely, helpful and professional bunch! In the showroom, Ellie was able to identify the kind of wood burner that was most likely to fit just from a couple of photos on my phone. Graham who did the survey was incredibly knowledgable and helpful. The fitting was completed on a very cold and windy day by Lee and Ricky who were efficient, tidy and really friendly. Ordered two STUV stoves from Kernow Fires in February 2020. Their showroom in Wadebridge is packed with demonstration models and their friendly and knowledgable staff are very helpful. A modest deposit secured the deal. Kernow Fires took delivery from their supplier towards the end of 2020 way ahead of our installation in February 2021 thus avoiding any BREXIT/COVID supply issues. Installations were faultless and handled very well by experienced engineers.
As I write there are a few minor outstanding items and I am unable to review the stoves as we have not moved into our new home and used them yet. However, I can not recommend Kernow Fires highly enough!

The stove is in place and looks great.  I must tell you that the Everhot team was beyond excellent.  They had the stove out of the van and unto the sidewalk so quickly and did not obstruct our single track road for more than ten to fifteen minutes.  They moved the stove up the exterior steps quite quickly and with out any damage with the use of the powered hand truck.  Once inside the stove was quickly moved into place through the use of these nifty air pillows which made the stove just hover over the wood floor....so no protection was required!  The entire operation was fascinating to watch and we could not be more satisfied!  The guys even worked out their own parking with the help of Dave Pengelley, just terrific!

From the moment we walked into the warm and attractive showroom on a wet afternoon just before Christmas we were made to feel welcome. Jane took a great deal of trouble to show us the appropriate stoves for our situation and to advise us on selection and use.

A firm date was given for the visit of your surveyor and Don turned up on the dot and again spent a good deal of time discussing our requirements and assessing the proposed site before making detailed measurements and advising us as to what were possible problems and solutions.

The order having been taken efficiently by the office over the telephone, a date for installation was given and were told that it was anticipated the installation would be completed within a day.

The installers were also prompt, courteous and efficient and were soon busy with adjusting our fireplace to suit the stove.

Just a quick note to say that we are very happy with our Foxfire stove and to congratulate you on the excellent service we received from beginning to end.  We would particularly like to thank Barney and Dan, who installed the stove, for all their hard work.  I hadn’t really appreciated the extent of the work involved in knocking out the old fireplace, to accommodate the new stove, until I saw Barney on his back, half way inside the fireplace, covered in inches of rubble and dust with sparks flying from the angle grinder!  Despite all the debris coming out of the old fireplace, Barney and Dan managed to keep the mess to a minimum and left us with a nice new stove and fireplace.

Thank you for the great service and excellent installation.  We can’t wait until it gets really cold outside so that we can be nice and toasty inside.

From the start we were listened to, and the surveyor Graham took time to assess our old fireplace, which was not straightforward, and then to listen to what we wanted and come up with a plan. He suggested a different woodburner to the one we had in mind, which we had not noticed in the brochures, but we decided to go with it. The builders Kev and Ricky arrived the morning they were booked within 5 mins of the allotted time. They were polite, friendly and again listened to what we wanted. Dust sheets everywhere and a tidy work area helped keep the mess to a minimum and was tidied up as they went and at the end of each day. When the slate arrived from their supplier, it had not been cut from the same piece and the bits were slightly different shades of grey - they were sent back immediately, and satisfactory replacements arrived the next morning. Despite staff illness they kept to time and budget and Lee helped finish the job on the predicted day. We are delighted with the result and would strongly recommend Kernow Fires.

Thank you very much for the delivery on Saturday.  Thanks also for the cheery answer phone message from the gentleman who delivered them and the care that he took in placing them under cover and in the dry.  How the heck he did it with our sloping drive is a mystery.

I spent a pleasant time building a proper log area for storage along the inside of a very dry garage wall and then ducked under the squalls stacking them.  Over 60% inside and the rest neatly stacked under a tarp.

Just need 17th Dec to arrive now!

Having searched around online & visited several suppliers locally, we decided to buy our woodburner from Kernow fires - the main reason being they were friendly, professional and helpful from the start, and competitively priced for the service they offered.
Mark, Christopher & Dan came to install a Contura i5 woodburner last week, and also to build up a slate platform in the fireplace for it to sit on.
You couldn't wish for a nicer team of young men to come and work in your house.. They kept everything in the room covered and protected, were polite and friendly, and a pleasure to have around. They were even nice to our dog who kept getting in the way.
We would highly recommend them if you're thinking about having a stove fitted - we would definitely buy from them again.

I would like to place on record, my gratitude to both Barney and Dan for their hard work during the recent installation of our stove.  This turned out to be a problematic process due to the damage found to the original chimney liner; but despite all barriers placed in their way, they both remained calm and polite irrespective of the frustrations they were obviously experiencing.  We were constantly informed of both positive and negative developments and given the benefit of Barneys experience while deciding if it was practical to continue with the installation.

They arrived promptly each morning, and were meticulous with regards to protecting our property and left each evening leaving the room tidy and usable.  They could teach a lesson to other trades with regards to customer relations, attitude and work ethic.

We are satisfied with the result, which has exceeded our expectations, and I would be more than happy to recommend your services.

The particular design that Graham had in mind when he came to have a look turned out to be just perfect.  We were not at all sure what it would look like but it is as if it was tailor made for us.

We are also very impressed with the logs and how hot and clean they burn.  We will have some more for next winter.

Kernow Fires provides an excellent service. We purchased a logburner last year but experienced a problem with the completion of our extension which resulted in the logburner not being required until May this year. Kernow Fires held it for us. The installation was quick and extremely tidy. We have received a follow up call to enquiry whether we are happy.
