Surveyor and Designer
Location: Based in Wadebridge Showroom - covering the whole of Cornwall
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £22,000.00 - £32,000.00 per year
We are looking for an exceptional candidate, preferably with stove industry experience, with strong design skills, the ability to provide CAD concepts and, with or without training, provide comprehensive estimates for complete installations.
We are offering the unique opportunity to join our exciting growing stove business. You will be a key bridge between customer expectations and the installation. Working across the entire spectrum of our business. You will be surveying properties new and old, to working from plans and building relationships with architects and builders. You will design, price and supply comprehensive quotations to suit spaces and aspirations.
You must have a good knowledge of buildings construction and preferably chimneys, flue systems and wood burning or gas stoves. A proven track record design, surveying and pricing is essential.
Surveys will be taken mostly through the showroom or digitally with site visits only when required or to confirm details, so good computer skills are essential.
Key aspects of the role include:
• Sales - customer facing sales in our showrooms
• Creating estimates and detailed designs from site visits and information provided from the client via telephone, zoom calls and emailed information
Providing CAD drawings where required
• Occasionally visiting homes and building sites to undertake surveys and check suitability of product
• Working with other surveyors to provide CAD drawings for clients when required
Essential Skills/ knowledge and experience:
Knowledge of building and construction
Experience in the stove industry is preferable
Quick at learning technical details or experience in surveying
Strong design skills to help the client achieve their goal
Experienced in CAD design and able to work time efficiently
Solid understanding of pricing and budget to ensure profitability
Attention to detail essential
Ability to see a design through from paper to completion
