Local up-and-coming chef Matt Wadsworth works exclusively with seasonal food, ensuring all his produce is fresh from the sea, ground, or farm. His seasonal inspiration means that he doesn't know for sure what he will be cooking until the day, with recipes and menus changing with the seasons and weather conditions.

He loves the way nature influences his cooking, keeping him on his toes and the creative juices flowing.

A Full Day of Culinary Adventure

Matt's joining us on Saturday October 4th for the whole day, starting with breakfast bites for those early birds joining us for the Stove and Fire Sale and developing his dishes throughout the day. He'll be cooking on the open fire of the Vulcanus, creating smoky flavours with the Big Green Egg, beautifully grilled vegetables and of course his favourite, fish. He’ll be pushing the boundaries of the Gozney pizza oven - steering away from pizza to show new alternative ways to get the most out of all your outdoor cooking systems this winter.

"I fell hugely inspired by all the options for cooking at Kernow Fires and I’m full of ideas for a seasonal collection that will inspire guests to and allow them to take home ideas and concepts which are easy to replicate, adding a dramatic twist to their current repertoire.

I've been thinking about having a long slow cook in the Big Green Egg, really introducing those smoky flavours, maybe getting the rotisserie going on the egg too. Get some skewers, tasty fish, maybe some mulled cider to really get the smells flowing."
