Warming To Wood, January 2012 |
|
The New Year has blown in some cruel westerly winds which have left us lighting the woodburners with haste every morning. Through the crazily mild December our fuel sales remained quiet but stove installations were at an all time high and the staff rallied round to make sure all the jobs were complete by Christmas Eve.
Our first day back to work, therefore, consisted of reorganising the showroom after the Christmas buying spree had left us bare. So we now have new stoves, new designs and a new feel to our office working area. On popular request, we have refitted the Scan DSA 5 wall hung model which is now burning live. It is a stunning fire and really worth popping in to see if you are looking at having this style of woodburner in your life. Our first showroom DSA is now hanging proudly on Simon's wall at home so it comes highly recommended! The Scan 85 is still welcoming you into the showroom and the new Scan 64 with its excellent convection is standing neatly behind.
We were so impressed after visiting Euroheat and discussing their newly awaited range of Hwam stoves, that we have given an area of the showroom specifically for you to see these incredible fires. With their beautiful Danish designs and outstanding efficiency, it’s a hard combination to beat. The Hwam 3500 and 3600 series of stoves have a large percentage of glass and a heat storage compartment option at the top, which allows the heat to be retained several hours after the fire has gone out. These models have the choice of either vertical or side door opening and can also be wall hung. The Hwam 3110 is a smooth elliptical shape with spring loaded doors. Form and finish throughout make it possible to install this stove in a corner, on a straight wall or even freestanding. At 2-7kw it is an ideal output to suit most rooms. See our back page advert in Cornwall Today magazine in March.
By the time you come into see us we should have our TV slide show up and running. It is situated above a Wessex Stone fireplace with a Charnwood Island 2 live in the fire opening. We are hoping this will give you an insight into our work and also ideas into how you would like your living area to look and feel. I myself am looking forward to watching the Australian Tennis Open in between clients!! Chance would be a fine thing!! |
