Firepoint Log Splitter

The firepoint power splitter uses a wedge and a sliding weight to split any wood. Suitable for people of all ages and abilities and great for splitting knotty wood.

The ingenuity of the invention lies in the fact that, when dropped, the total force and speed of the 4.7kg weight are concentrated precisely on the few square millimetres making up the cutting edge of the forged, spiralled splitting wedge.

This produces a cutting power of up to 20 tonnes in a flash.  It is dependent upon the force with which the weight is dropped.

No chopping block, no misdirected blows, no pieces of wood flying around, no broken axe or hatchet handles, no axe heads coming off, no bent backs and no tension in the shoulders.

The great cutting power, combined with the 2kg forged, spiralled splitting wedge, means that, standing up straight, you can even split difficult knotty pieces of wood effectively and with little effort.
